TRANSGENDER PHOTOGRAPHERS DIRECTORY
WHY CREATE A DIRECTORY?
1. To create a resource for trans folks who need a photographer and would find it reassuring to work with a photographer who is also trans.
2. To give queer/trans organisations (and beyond!) the opportunity to develop relationships with trans photographers in their area. In the wake of April's supreme court ruling, there have been so many protests organised all over the country. Despite the scale of them, these protests don't always get coverage in the mainstream media. We believe that these events should be documented, and that trans people should have a say in how they're documented. Connecting trans organisers with trans photographers gives us the opportunity to start doing that.
3. Because trans photographers are underrepresented in the industry, and it'd be nice to work towards changing that! We hope that this directory will help to create more opportunities, along with a little network so that we all have a way to connect with each other!

If you're a transgender photographer in the UK and you'd like to be part of the directory, you can submit your listing below.

We're looking for photographers with some degree of experience; we'd expect you to have a portfolio of work you can show us, and that you take bookings (whether paid or unpaid), create work, or otherwise exist within the photography industry.

Early career photographers are very welcome to be part of the directory; in fact you're more than welcome, as we'd love to create opportunities for you all!
